ORADELL, NJ, November 24, 2025– Five Bergen Catholic students recently joined other Edmund Rice schools in Brownsville, Texas for a week of service. During their time in Brownsville, the BC students helped out at various organizations: Arise, Good Settlement House, Guadalupe Middle School and La Posada.

Each organization helped teach the BC students about immigration in the unique way they each care for people, as the Crusaders assisted in each of their missions. During the trip, the BC students also visited the Museum of South Texas, SpaceX, San Juan Basilica and South Padre Island.

We thank our BC students for following the Essential Elements and for caring for those in need at the border. Our students use the Service Immersion trips to learn about various cultures and to help make a difference in the lives of others who need their help.
