ORADELL, NJ, January 16, 2026– Recently before Bergen Catholic hosted archival Don Bosco Prep in a basketball game at Hoehl Gym, members of the BC community organized a collection drive to help support the Lombardo family, a Don Bosco Prep family who recently lost their home and everything they owned in a house fire right after Christmas.

Bergen Catholic students, faculty and staff generously raised over $1,300 and presented a check to be given to the Lombardo family.

While we may be fierce competitors in sports, in a time of need, Bergen Catholic was there to help support a Don Bosco family and show the charism of Blessed Edmund Rice at work in their service to others in need.
