Matt Rosa ’08 Appointed as Vice President of Advancement

ORADELL, NJ, July 23, 2025– Bergen Catholic is proud to announce the appointment of Matt Rosa ’08 as the school’s Vice President of Advancement. Mr. Rosa has worked at Bergen Catholic since 2013, and over the past twelve years has served in a variety of roles at the school as a teacher, coach, and, most recently, as the school’s Vice President of Admissions, where he led a period of significant growth in both class sizes and applications to Bergen Catholic.

Mr. Rosa graduated from Bergen Catholic in 2008 and attended Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland where he earned his undergraduate degree in economics. Recently, Mr. Rosa earned a Master’s Degree in Church Management from Villanova University’s School of Business. This specialized degree has equipped him with a deep understanding of mission-centered leadership, strategic planning, and ethical stewardship within philanthropy, all of which he has seamlessly woven into his work at Bergen Catholic.

With his appointment Mr. Rosa takes over for Karen DiMaria, who, over her tenure, re-energized annual giving, positively impacted the working culture within the school and infused best practices that will remain the foundation of Advancement as Bergen Catholic continues to build a culture of philanthropy.

Mr. Rosa is familiar with this new role, having assisted the advancement office in outreach opportunities which has helped families understand the importance of supporting Bergen Catholic beyond tuition. Through his role on the Executive Board of the Bergen Catholic Alumni Association, Mr. Rosa has spearheaded several fundraising initiatives, including starting the important work of cultivating recent alumni and helping them appreciate the philanthropic opportunities with the school community.

“I am truly grateful to Dr. Mahoney for this opportunity. I’m deeply humbled and excited to continue giving back to a place that has given so much to me. As we look to the future, I remain committed to ensuring that Bergen Catholic continues to be a beacon of brotherhood, faith and excellence.”-Matt Rosa ‘08

“I am excited for Matt to take on this leadership role and look forward to him working with our board, staff, alumni, parents and friends of Bergen Catholic to help shape the future of our great school.” -Dr. Brian Mahoney
