Over 200 Crusaders Participate in 2026 Covenant House Sleep Out
ORADELL, NJ, April 30, 2026 – Once again the Bergen Catholic community answered the call to help support Covenant House, a non-profit whose mission is to end youth homelessness and human trafficking. Over 200 Crusader students participated in the 2026 Sleep Out event, where they first listened to special guests detail their own stories of homelessness before turning their lives around thanks to help from Covenant House.
Due to the rain, the Sleep Out this year occurred inside Hoehl Gymnasium, but the BC students slept in sleeping bags all around the gym overnight, as they stood in solidarity with those marginalized by poverty and injustice, one of the Essential Elements of an Edmund Rice Christian Brother education.
