Bob Murray ’83 Appointed Director of Annual Giving
ORADELL, NJ, August 13, 2025– Bergen Catholic is proud to announce the appointment of Bob Murray ’83 as the school’s Director of Annual Giving. Mr. Murray comes to Bergen Catholic after 35 years at TIAA, one of the largest pension companies in the world whose mission was to help people enjoy a healthy retirement.
Mr. Murray is a 1983 graduate of Bergen Catholic where he served as captain of the 1982 state championship Crusader football team that finished ranked 1st in New Jersey and 10th in the nation. He attended the University of New Hampshire where he graduated with a degree in Political Science.
Mr. Murray spent the balance of his TIAA career working on the institutional client side which included relationship management, product development, pricing and managing the higher education sales team for seven years.
Outside of his work career, Mr. Murray has given back to his local community by serving as a lector and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 9021. He presently serves on the board of both the Bergen Catholic Alumni Association and the Crusader Football Alumni Club. For the past seven years, Mr. Murray has assisted ASCPG, a non-profit, all-volunteer organization that sponsors an annual Easter Week pilgrimage to Lourdes, France for children and young adults with physical and developmental needs.
